The muscular, matching MX-A5000 amplifier is a discrete structured 11 channel power amplifier perfectly matched to the CX-A5100 AV processor.
It utilises its discrete amps to deliver astonishing levels of power.

It boasts 150W (at 8ohm, full range, 2-ch driven) power output for all 11 channels with a phenomenally low THD of just 0.06%.

Yamaha’s CX-A5100/MX-A5000 pairing makes a superb choice for a high-end home theatre.

Overwhelming Power and High Density Presence Achieved by 11.2 Channel Separate AV Amps
The key to MX-A5000 sonic signature is its current feedback, which reacts in real-time, allocates additional power resources from channels and not using their full allocation of power.
It intelligently allocates this unused power to channels demanding more especially in ‘power-hungry’ scenes and sound tracks.
The current feedback uses three stage Darlington circuit that has superior phase properties and is resistant to speaker impedance fluctuation.

Very useful when you have lower-sensitivity speakers or when you’re watching movies with a high dynamic range soundtrack.
The amplifer seemingly cruises through these passages without fuss.

The 11 channel power amp is configurable to use as 11 full range channels, or 5 bi-amped channels, or a bi-amped 2nd zone and another pair of speakers in a 3rd zone.

Benefits from the AVENTAGE ethos by using only the best components, highest quality parts, like a high-output toroidal power transformer and two 27,000μF block capacitors to ensure abundant power delivery and optimum performance.

Greater Sound Purity with Specially Designed High Rigidity Advanced Chassis that eliminates vibrations.
H-frame to strengthen the chassis, bootsting mechanical strength, with a fifth foot to keep everything stable.
Yamaha’s signature A.R.T. (Anti-Resonance Technology) Wedge in the center of the bottom cover acts as an additional vibration countermeasure and firmly supports the internal circuits.

The large toroidal transformer and the high capacity (27000uf) block capacitors are positioned close to the centre.
The fifth foot, clearly visible below, helps to stabilise the huge transformer which is positioned right above it.
Independent top cover and side panels
The brushed aluminium side panels look absolutely gorgeous.
Plus a double bottom, of vibration control plates made of 1/8 inch (1.6 mm) black steel, the same type of construction used on the previous flagship model Z11.

Distributes the sound evenly and marvelously. I’ve never enjoyed movies like that before
I have been used Yamaha back in 1988,CX-1000 & MX-1000 for all those years and its still kicking they put out excellent power, clean & purest sound ,So I just bought a new Yamaha CX-A5000 & MX-A5000 these systems are awsome the sound is just blow my mind
versus my old system they both excellent,but the new one is punchier
